Bronx fashion designer transforms her business during pandemic
NEW YORK (News12 The Bronx) – A designer from the Bronx sells fashionable, yet comfortable, clothing for women and accessories for men, and when the pandemic challenged her, she did a quick outfit change.
Terese Brown was let go from her position as an assistant buyer at Lord & Taylor in 2009 due to the recession. She then enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Brown says she's no stranger to taking a less than perfect situation and pivoting to continue on when coronavirus hit New York City. She says she was sick for a few weeks.
At the time, Brown says she wasn't selling much with so many people hurting financially, so with a shift in business, she pivoted again.
